Drivers affected by the closure of Periférico Norte expressed solidarity in networks with Hugo's mother

After Maureen Amaro, mother of Hugo Carbajal, murdered in Jilotzingo, State of Mexico, blocked road traffic in the Northern Peripheral at the height from Naucalpan to demand attention to his son's case, social networks broke out with the terrible news around the hashtag #JusticiaParaHugo.

Many netizens expressed their sadness and anger at the regrettable event that had led the young man's mother to pause traffic; others ran to complain on Twitter because they had lost a lot of time in their cars without traffic taking its course. However, there were some people who expressed their solidarity for the cause.

Among the latter, the statements of those users who were present in the traffic congestion caused by Hugo's family were surprised, who also joined the virtual protest.

From their cars and with phrases such as “I prefer to stay in traffic than to have another boy killed”, “today I'm coming home, Hugo doesn't” and “the least I can do is endure”, some netizens from their Twitter accounts, assured that they would not care about traffic as long as it was a demand for justice and clarification of the facts.

On April 2, Hugo Carbajal, a 15-year-old teenager, was murdered in the State of Mexico, when he was present at a clandestine event.

According to information released by Hugo's parents, the teenager's life was taken away in the Imperio event hall, located in Jilotzingo, Mexican municipality, during a party allegedly held by Mauricio “N”, the precinct's security guard.

Hector Hugo Carbajal, father and namesake of the victim, explained.

Young people who were at the party and who were part of the road blockade today, reported that the alleged aggressor fled the place with the help of the owner, as well as co-workers, so far he is at large.

Likewise, the parents reported that they learned of the death until they arrived at the hospital, because when they reported their condition, they only warned about its seriousness, but more than that.

From the early hours of this Tuesday, April 5, a road blockade was reported in Periférico Norte, at the height of the municipality of Naucalpan de Juárez, in the vicinity of the City of Mexico and the State of Mexico, a situation that generated road chaos in and around the area.

It was 12 hours of blockade from 09:00 hours at the height of the Naucalli Park. The group of protesters, among the victim's family and friends, kept taking the lanes both ways to protest the murder of the young man.

At 21:00 hours, the protest was already beginning to subside and circulation began to reopen, after the Homicide Prosecutor Mario Salas pledged to find and arrest the child's murderer.
