The Grammy Awards ceremony took place last Sunday, April 3, and for the 2022 edition it changed the renowned Staples Center in Los Angeles to the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

In addition to the musicians who traditionally occupy the main categories, there was a good list of Colombian singers waiting for an award, such as Karol G, who was nominated in the category 'Best Urban Music Album' with J Balvin and Kali Uchis; and Bomba Estéreo and Diamante Eléctrico, in the category 'Best Alternative Rock Album', among others.

The event featured live performances by J Balvin with Argentina's María Becerra with the theme 'What else then? ' , among others.

Another of the Colombian artists who hoped to win one of the statuettes of the National Academy of Recording of Arts and Sciences was Camilo Echeverry, who has achieved great international recognition with his album 'Mis manos', with which he hoped to win the 'Best Latin Pop Album' award. But when he learned that he did not win the award, he shared a message through his social networks.

“I loved every second of dreaming that I won that Grammy. Someday. The Tribe”, initially expressed the artist, who has released hits such as 'Ropa Cara', 'Tutu' and 'Indigo', the latter released to announce the pregnancy of his wife Evaluna Montaner.

Later, the Colombian shared another emotional message with the members of La Tribu, as he calls the followers of his music, on which he focused with total gratitude to the creator of the universe and his spiritual guide, whom he also took the opportunity to express his total admiration for what he puts and takes away from him on the path he travels.

The total reverence for the creator and his way of allowing me to achieve some things and not others... to keep me moving... making me understand that this life is a game, but that it is worth taking it seriously”, concluded the singer.

The reactions to Camilo's publication were compiled by the gossip portal 'Traceando Famososos', in which nearly 1,300 Internet users highlighted the humility with which the Colombian received the sad news. Other of the most prominent comments are:

“Camilo is a very humble person, you can tell him that he does everything from the heart and unlike many, even if he does not have the best voice, HE IS A MUSICIAN”. “They no longer reward the art of making music, now they reward vulgarity”, “What did he expect, if neither Selena Gómez won it and now he was going to take it”, among others.

On Sunday 3 April, the 64th edition of the most important music awards in the music industry was held, and from a very early age a Colombian stood out among the winners; it was Juanes, who won the award in the category of 'Best Latin or Alternative Rock' for 'Origen', his most recent work musical.

The paisa competed with other national artists, such as Diamante Electrico and Bomba Estéreo, and left on the road other big favorites such as C. Tangana, Nathy Peluso and Zoé, who made up the list of the Latin category.
