The strike of carriers has put the Peruvian government on the edge, which has decreed immobilization citizen for the citizens of Metropolitan Lima and Callao. This measure has so far only been given for March 5.
Faced with this, the following question arises: how long will the stoppage of carriers last? is there an end date? The answer is simply and is no.
So far, unemployment does not have an end date, since it is an indefinite stoppage.
GOVERNMENT AND MEASURES
The Government announced as part of its measures to ease the stoppage and suspend this mobilization, a five-day lifting agreement. This was agreed with a group of carriers; however, another group of carriers belonging to the informal sector (mostly) continued the strike.
Subsequently, the Government continued to exempt 84 and 90 octane gasoline from the Selective Consumption Tax (ISC)
However, a group of protesters demanded the observation and cancellation of fines during the pandemic and also regulations for cars in collective mode.
UNTIL WHAT TIME IS THE STATE OF EMERGENCY?
According to the provision of the State, the time of social immobilization is until 11:59 p.m. on March 5.
“From 02.00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, mandatory social immobilization is provided for all persons in their homes, in the districts of Metropolitan Lima in the department of Lima and in the Constitutional Province of Callao,” Supreme Decree No. 034-2022-PCM reads.
WHICH PLACES WILL ABIDE BY THE MEASURE?
During his message, the president did not make it clear whether this measure applies to Lima or to all of Peru; however, in the Supreme Decree officially published in the newspaper El Peruano, it is stated that the measure should only be complied with in Metropolitan Lima in the department of Lima and in the Province Constitutional State of Callao (and in the districts that make up those jurisdictions).
However today, the president of the Council of Ministers, Aníbal Torres, indicated that the compulsory social immobilization given in order to avoid the increase in vandalism reported during on Monday, could be extended to the different regions of the country.
IS IT NECESSARY TO CARRY A WORK PASS?
It is not necessary to process the work pass, in the message expressed by the head of state he did not announce that it is necessary to process and carry it.
In addition, the page that was previously used (exactly in the time of pandemic) to apply for work passes has been disabled since January 31.
VACCINATION SITES WILL NOT OPEN
The Ministry of Health (Minsa), through its social networks, announced that today it will not attend any vaccinations due to social immobility.
He also made it clear that hospital care for emergency and emergency services will work without any problems.
