The mayor's office of Bogotá announced that the Universidad Distrital has open registration for young people who have not yet entered higher education. The available offer is part of the 'Youth to the U' program, of the Ministry of Education, and will be open for registration until April 8, 2022.
The call has eight programs that are part of the technology cycle, as well as the professional area.

- Technology in Industrial Electronics.
- Technology in Industrial Mechanics.
- Technology in Industrial Production Management.
- Technology in Data Systematization.
- Technology in Civil Construction.
Faculty of Science and Education

How are the registrations?
Young people interested in participating in this call must complete the Pre-Registration, as indicated on the University website, then generate the pin and pay the registration receipt.

Once the applicant enters the above information, the system will send to the registered email the login key with which they can access the generation and/or payment link of the registration pin around 100,000
“Pre-registration can only be done by entering a personal email that has not been used in any procedure with the university. If the applicant submitted to a process prior to 2022-1, the system will allow them to enter with the same email that they used at the time,” explained the District University.
He stressed that “the opposite is the case for applicants enrolled in the 2022-1 period who will be able to enter without pre-registration, given that the academic period is active”.
It should be noted that students who are accepted enter with special admission, following the technical guidelines of the Ministry of Education and fulfilling the responsibilities required to be a student at the Public University. It should be borne in mind that the admission of young people will correspond to the criteria established by the Francisco José de Caldas District University by virtue of their autonomy.
The Youth to the U program, promotes access to 100% free higher education, has several modalities in its intervention. This project, which targets young people under 28 years of age who are outside the higher education system, seeks to strengthen, promote, finance and promote the educational offer at the higher level, privileging the participation of official Higher Education Institutions at the technical, professional, technologist and university professional.
Accepted students will receive a benefit consisting of a statutory minimum wage in force every six months. Likewise, the agreement signed with the Francisco José de Caldas District University covers the resources needed to generate these quotas, so there will be no tuition payments. Those who aspire to be part of the program must fully meet a series of requirements, which are specified below:
1-Have submitted the proof of status (ICFES and Saber 11) for access to higher education.
2-Young people up to 28 years old, graduated from schools in Bogotá or schools outside Bogotá, who have lived in the city for more than two years.
3-Not have an active enrollment in a higher education program
