This Tuesday saw the start of the second phase of ticket sales for the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar, the great world football tournament that will take place from November 21 to December 18 of this year. This stage will end on April 28, as announced by the organizers. “People whose ticket demand was satisfied will be informed of the next stages upon their request, by email, at the earliest on May 31,” FIFA said in a statement.

There are four types of tickets available on the FIFA website: for a special match (in four price categories, with the last one reserved for Qatari residents), for fans of a team for the group stage as a whole or for a knockout stage match in which their team is still is not guaranteed participation, and tickets that give access to four matches in four different stadiums (in three price categories).

For fans arriving in Qatar from abroad, individual ticket prices for the first phase are staggered between $68.5 and $219 for a match. For the final, it will be between $603 and $1,604. Fares for tickets reserved for local residents are cheaper, ranging from USD 11 to USD 205 per unit. This represents an increase of 30% compared to the previous edition of the World Cup, held in Russia in 2018.
