Several famous Peruvians have spoken out about the political, economic and social crisis that Peru is going through after the demonstrations and the blockade of roads due to the increase in fuel. Stephanie Cayo, a prominent national actress, was one of the artists who spoke out against the latest measures decreed by the government of Pedro Castillo.

Through her Twitter account, the protagonist of “Until we meet again”, the first Peruvian film produced by Netflix, expressed solidarity with the hundreds of students who had to stay at home as a result of the curfew, which runs from 02:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, April 5.

Let us remember that, due to the stoppage of carriers, face-to-face classes in colleges and universities have been suspended in order to safeguard the integrity of administrative staff, teachers and students, who, in many cases, have to travel long stretches to reach their centers of study.

In this regard, the Peruvian actress asked the president the following: “Stoppages, uncertainty, bewilderment. When what we need is a lot of education. Mr. President, do your job without affecting those who need to go to school.”

Soon after, the current couple of Maxi Iglesias were seen with her brother on Instagram. While Macs Cayo encouraged people to take to the streets to protest against the government, Stephanie reiterated the importance of education.

“We are very submissive here. And that submission is one of the foundations of the roots of our society. I personally believe that it is a sign to say enough is enough. We have to keep studying and keep working. That there is a national strike for fear that they will loot, why do the police exist? why does serenazgo exist? , said the young artist.

“We have to keep studying, it's the most important thing. This is what is most missing in this country (...) Why is there security if they are not going to do their job?” , commented the actress to complement her brother's idea.
