Pablo Lyle asked a judge in Miami, Florida, that the conditions of his bail be changed without having to make any payment as he suffers from financial problems, this after his case for involuntarily murdering a man turns three years old.
On April 5, 2022, a new hearing was held in the case of Pablo Lyle, where the actor's defense asked state judge Diana Vizcaina not to renew her bail, which expires next Friday, April 8, according to AP.
“We are going to ask the court to modify the bail conditions to exclude payments and allow only current electronic monitoring,” Attorney Philip Reizenstein said during the Zoom hearing.
According to Lyle's defense, the actor does not pose a flight risk, according to his behavior since he was arrested, and he has financial problems, so he added that his request is that Pablo remain free, with electronic monitoring, but “without restrictions or some additional monetary requirement.” That is, Lyle and his defense asked that their $45,000 bail not be renewed.
As Reizenstein explained, because Paul does not work and there is mediation with the other party, “There is no reason at this time to set monetary bonds.” He also claimed that Lyle called the police to surrender after beating Juan Ricardo Hernández, a blow that would have led to his death.
However, it was reported that the judge decided, for the time being, not to accept the request, asked that it be submitted to her in writing and set a new hearing for next Friday.
During Tuesday's hearing, Pablo did appear via Zoom, however, he decided not to give statements. The judge said that the 8th actor will have to appear physically
Pablo Lyle arrested for alleged manslaughter
It was on March 31, 2019 when Pablo Lyle was in Florida, United States, a few hours before returning to Mexico. He was in the van of his brother-in-law, Lucas Delfino, on his way to Miami airport.
In the middle of his journey, Juan Ricardo Hernández, a 63-year-old Cuban man, got out of his car at a red light to claim that Delfino had closed his way minutes earlier.
During the discussion, the protagonist of Mirreyes vs Godines got out of the car and hit Hernandez in the face. As they managed to capture some security cameras at a gas station close to the events, the Cuban collapsed instantly and backwards, causing his head to suffer a blunt blow against the asphalt.
The fall would have been such that Hernandez remained collapsed to the ground, while the histrion and his family resumed their way to the Miami airport. Four days later, the Cuban was reported dead because the blow caused him a brain injury.
Since then, Lyle is waiting for his trial, which has been postponed for a year, as they set it to be in March 2021, but the restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic and requests from the Paul's defense have not made it possible.
In addition to the alleged homicide, the victim's son filed a civil lawsuit against histrion and his brother-in-law in April 2021 to repair the damage caused to the victim and the family. The financial compensation you are looking for is more than USD 100 thousand.
