Mónica Cabrejos referred to Martín Arredondo: “I have a terrible concept of him as a professional and as a person”

Mónica Cabrejos appeared on the set of Magaly Medina to present her book Public Woman, as well as referring to certain passages of her reading, where she says she suffered sexual harassment from a producer. Although she did not want to confirm whether Martín Arredondo was her alleged stalker, the driver of Al Sexto Día clarified that if she “put on the crown” it is because that is how her conscience should be.

In principle, Cabrejos laughed to the Magaly TV presenter La Firme that her goal in not naming her aggressors was not to 'market', but to tell their story. It should be remembered that the book also tells that he was a victim of sexual abuse.

“The book is selling very well, I understand that there is a lot of tension. This book is clearly permeated from my vision and experiences in Peru... as a poor woman, of African descent and a woman who doesn't fit society's stereotypes. It is my vision clearly... the characters cannot have a first and last name because otherwise it would become a complaint and the denunciations are not made in the books”, said the journalist.

He also referred to Martín Arredondo, who appeared in Amor y Fuego to clarify that he was not the protagonist of Monica's work and that he never harassed his partner in Public Enemies. However, the writer clarified that no one has mentioned it and does not understand why she feels alluded to.

“Whoever wears the crown is only the one who has a dirty conscience. The Public Enemies program had two stages, in one was Martín Suyón, who I consider a personal friend, and the next stage was producer Martín Arredondo. Martín Suyón didn't go out to chicot and say 'I am the protagonist of this story'... Martín Arredondo came out and only sat down and won the protagonist's crown when there is no name,” said Mónica Cabrejos.

Faced with this, Magaly Medina did not hesitate to ask her directly if Martín Arredondo was the one who had harassed her while working in Public Enemies, to which the brunette replied: “At this time I couldn't say it because you are not a public institution. I can't say something like that, it's been 12 or 13 years that I've worked with him.”

However, he did not hesitate to reveal what was the concept he has towards him. “I don't have a good relationship with him, I have a very bad concept of him, I have a very bad concept of him as a professional and as a person, I can't say that he is the protagonist of the episode, even though he himself has gone out to sit down,” said the TV host, who clarified that at no time did I answer “no I know” Magaly. “I have said that I cannot assert it on television because that is a crime. And I'm not that good at hiding crimes,” he said.

At another time, the former vedette said that during the time she was working on Public Enemies she felt “professionally and sexually harassed”.

“I have felt harassed, abused, humiliated. It was a group spirit, where unfortunately I didn't fit because I have a different way of being. I am quite a defender of my point of view and as much as they tell me to shut up, I don't. I say what I think about everything,” Monica said to her interviewer's question.

HOW DID MARTIN ARREDONDO DEFEND HIMSELF?

Martín Arredondo appeared in the program Amor y Fuego to clarify that he was not the protagonist of one of his stories in the book “Public Woman”, by Mónica Cabrejos. As you recall, the writer pointed out in her work that she was sexually harassed by a television producer of a night show where she worked. The name Martín Arredondo immediately came to light, since they both worked together in Public Enemies. In the midst of these speculations, the journalist broke his silence on the Willax TV space.

“I strongly deny everything that is insinuated and everything I can say is so sensitive that it can affect a person's testimony. What remains for me before this testimony that is criminal, involving my name, I submit to all the expertise (in a future investigation),” Rodrigo González and Gigi Mitre clarified.

He also indicated that he did not intend to send him a notarial letter to retract. “What do I do with a warning... 'that I'm going to denounce you for defamation'... what do i do? If my image is finally damaged, there is no exercise in which I can rebuild myself now, the subject is already thrown away,” he said.
