This Tuesday, April 5, there is no service from the Lima Metro, Metropolitano, Complementary Corridors or other formal public transport buses, as reported by the Urban Transportation for Lima and Callao (ATU) in a statement published around 3:00 a.m.
In addition, they indicated that, in the case of taxis, as well as special school, tourist and worker transport, “they will not be able to provide service during the period of compulsory social immobilization provided for by the aforementioned regulation”.
“It is suggested that those who work in essential activities (health servers, water, sanitation, electricity, transport of cargo and goods, media, among others) take the necessary forecasts to travel to their centers of work in a timely manner,” they said, however, they did not give options so that they reach their workplaces.
What has been seen since the early morning, in some areas of downtown Lima, is informal public transport.
