It has been more than a month since the premiere of BZRP Music Sessions #49 with Residente, a song in which René, a former vocalist of Calle 13, vented about everything that happened with J Balvin and the Grammy Awards. This tiraera went viral and within a month it already has more than 85 million views on YouTube and became a trend on social networks. To this day there are still people who comment on this song that generated a huge controversy because of what the Puerto Rican singer said about the Colombian.
J Balvin, although he did not respond head-on with a song against René, left some small comments on his social networks, without meddling in the controversy unleashed over the song. Even though it's been several weeks, he hasn't spoken directly about Residente's song. On the contrary, he continued to work on his music and published a double collaboration with British singer Ed Sheraan. The Puerto Rican, for his part, has had a series of concerts in which he has also sung the Session de Bizarrap, as well as released his most recent single, which would be part of his next studio album, called 'This is not America'.

This' Pelea 'was commented on by many people on social networks, even some singers of the genre got involved and responded to Residente. However, some time ago, in an interview with 'Dímelo King', J Balvin referred to what happened with the Puerto Rican after the posts on Instagram and said that it hurt him because he considered him a friend and stated that “there are many things that people don't know”.
“I am Paisa, I'm from Medellin, if I get lemons I make lemonade and we sell everything. I walk around and I see a lot of people wearing the hat of the hot dogs, the hoodies of the hotdog, I'm calm,” said J Balvin to Dímelo King, where he also talked about a possible reconciliation with Residente, to which he said, “yes of course, no friends, but if you talk and make things clear there is no problem”.

“I considered him a friend, corduroy. That's why it hurt there are a lot of things that people don't know and I'm not going to tell them. Everyone has a clear conscience. I know what I said. Why didn't I go out and talk? To foolish words, deaf ears,” said the Colombian at the time, who also pointed out that he is calm because, “I have my wife, my son and my closed combo, which fill me with energy, thanks to loyalty for me is code number one, I have it tattooed with all my best friends”.
For now, the Colombian singer recently performed at the Grammy Awards that took place in Las Vegas. The ceremony, which took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, was attended and participated by many artists from all genres of music. Balvin was on stage with more than 40 dancers and performed the song 'In da getto', which has more than 290 million views and has had a huge impact on digital platforms such as TikTok and Instagram.
