“It was nobody. Thanks' Villao '”: with new video Marbelle responded to those who say her concert was empty

The singer posted images in which the audience is seen chanting her songs. The interpreter has been in the midst of controversy over her comments against the vice-presidential candidate Francia Márquez

Marbelle, the renowned queen of the technocarrilera, has been the topic of conversation in recent days on social networks. Her comments against the country's aspiring vice president, Francia Márquez, have caused her to be branded racist and xenophobic. In the midst of the controversy, the singer was the center of mockery after images were made public in which the performer of 'Pearl Necklace' was seen performing before a small audience and a mostly desolate space, in Villavicencio. In response, the artist sarcastically stressed that there was an audience supporting her.

With a photograph, from the perspective of Marbelle's vision, a larger group of people is seen watching it on stage, which calls into question the video showing the relatively empty audience space of the concert. “It was nobody. Thank you villao,” Marbelle commented. Following that publication, Mauren Belky, the singer's first name, uploaded a video in which she is seen singing 'Addicta to pain', while the audience chants the song with her. In that trill he pointed 'a little'.

According to the media 'Agenda Hoy', that Marbelle presentation would have cost 115 million pesos, a value that also included the services of drums, bass, trumpet and saxophone. This money would have been invested by the Meta Tourism Institute. According to that portal, in less than five months the costs of hiring Marbelle grew considerably. The regional portal released the quote that was made for the artist to be present at the International Joropo Tournament 2021, in November. The amount paid was 80 million pesos, 35 million more compared to the show at the ExpoMalocas Fair.

The investigation explained that, on both occasions, the recruitment process was carried out through the Corporation for Social, Cultural and Sports Development (Corpodesport), represented by Ligia Patricia Lozada Leiva.

According to the media, in the Joropo Tournament, a direct contract worth 461 million was awarded for the participation of several artists, including Marbelle. Likewise, at the recent event in the capital of Meta, a contract for 710 million was received to sign several artists, including the 42-year-old singer.

Marbelle

In days prior to the event, some citizens asked the Government of Meta to cancel the presentation of Marbelle, however, it went ahead. “On the powder that raised the presentation of Marbelle tomorrow in Villavicencio, I think that with public money respect for differences should be promoted. Governor, the concert must be canceled! ”, commented one of the netizens.

In addition to the alleged absence of an audience at the concert in Marbelle, some citizens carried posters in which they reproached their actions against Francia Márquez. The singer, publicly, has made clear the great ideological difference she has with the left of the country. Initially, the artist referred to Francia Márquez as 'King Kong'. “Poops and King Kong,” he wrote on his Twitter account Marbelle. “Is it freedom of speech or xenophobia? Doesn't Uribism achieve anything more intellectually?” , questioned Gustavo Petro.

“I invite you to debate with your opponents madam, not with me! Go and give an ancestral hug to Petro and 'Bobolivar', who are leaving her very badly (...) So that she is dedicating all the tweets to me, she only shows the big fan who joins her for using my name,” the singer wrote after Francia Márquez called for peace and reconciliation.

“Dear Marbelle, I don't understand how you hate me without knowing me, how you distrust me if we've never had the opportunity to braid a relationship of friendship. Let me tell you that on the contrary, since I was a teenager I have admired you (...) A few years ago I was one of the millions of young people who enthusiastically went to an audition in which you were as a music teacher, along with Juan Carlos Coronel and José Gaviria selecting young people who would participate in the X Factor,” Marquez commented in response to the singer.

Marbelle continued the controversy and, instead of letting her guard down, replied, “On Factor X I told her no, and today I repeat it to her: You are not continuing with us”.
