Peru is currently experiencing a social conflict unleashed by rising fuel prices and the basic basket of the home. The carriers started an indefinite national strike, which has brought havoc and claimed 4 lives.

Yesterday, news broke about looting of shops and minimartkets and based on this is that the Government has issued a state of emergency and social immobilization on April 5, which has been repealed by the president himself in the afternoon.

These violent acts, according to the authorities, have not been carried out by Protestant drivers and drivers, but by people of poor living who have taken advantage of the panic of the protests to loot and carry out violent acts in the streets.

Given this, it is important and necessary to prioritize personal and family safety and that is why José Miguel Oyarzo, CEO of EdiPro, gives us 3 basic and useful recommendations.

1. Coordination with neighbors and administration:

While it is advisable to avoid telling strangers about your absence or how long you will be away, it can provide greater peace of mind if you ask someone from the administration or someone you trust to be aware of any unforeseen events that may happen in your home or apartment. You should place a lot of emphasis on water leakage, plant care, and so on.

2. Activate a security plan:

It is advisable to check electrical connections, installations, water points to avoid future breakdowns in the event of possible power and/or water outages due to the state of emergency.

In addition, it must store part of these energies and can do so through portable chargers in the case of electric charging and basic water services in a container that must be covered very well.

Nor does it hurt that together with the family they evaluate an evacuation plan in the event of an accident that could affect their well-being and that of their family.

Having a security system would add to the well-being of your home. Remember that today it is much cheaper than before, and you can even manage it from your cell phone.

3. Ensures the closing of doors and windows:

Do an inspection of the windows and doors, make sure they are securely closed. In the event that you do not feel safe with the doors closed, it is better to perform reinforcement of those that are easy to break. Keep in mind that the more people have had access to your house keys, the more danger there is and the better it will be for you to change the lock.

In line with these recommendations, the specialist emphasizes that health is a complete state, that is, it encompasses physical, mental and social well-being, not only the absence of diseases or diseases is that why we care about our home and that of those we love most must be the main priority, especially at times of tension and conflict.

WHEN DOES THE STOPPAGE OF CARRIERS END?

The strike of carriers has put the Peruvian government on the edge, which decreed immobilization citizen for all of Metropolitan Lima and Callao. This measure was for March 5 from 2:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.; however, in a meeting with the Congress of the Republic, it announced that it would cease social immobilization.

Faced with this, the following question arises: how long will the stoppage of carriers last? is there an end date? The answer is simply and is no.

So far, unemployment does not have an end date, since it is an indefinite stoppage.
