Kaley Cuoco's big bet, the unforgettable Penny in The Big Bang Theory, returns with new settings and new characters. The one from Cuoco, the hostess Cassie Bowden, once again shows the talent of the actress who was Sheldon and Leonard's neighbor for 12 seasons: with difficult themes and a comedy treatment, she must change to tones of drama and also of action in the risky, and highly celebrated by critics, The Flight Attendant.

The story of Cassie, a flight attendant with alcohol problems, unable to have a relationship and with a cast of lovers in every airport, memories of the past that condition her and a tense relationship with her brother, is based on the novel by Chris Bohjalian. It begins when one morning, in Bangkok, she wakes up next to a passenger with whom she spent the night. The hangover that affects her will be the least of her problems: the man is dead and she is bathed in blood. Cassie is involved in a crime that, due to the effects of alcohol, she doesn't remember.

Throughout the eight episodes Cassie must solve the mystery, to which secondary stories of great interest are added, to clear her name and conscience. In the end, a twist raises a surprising possibility for the continuation of the series.

With its imminent premiere, on April 21, HBO Max released this teaser for the second season. Set a year after the known events, Cassie is in California, has a new love and celebrates her first year of sobriety. But change is harder than you think, and the force of childhood trauma continues to cast its shadow on it.

He has taken a second job as a CIA agent, under the orders of Benjamin Berry (Mo McRae). But if that fills the void that alcohol occupied, you will have occasion to wonder if the remedy was not worse than the disease. Her adventures will take her “to new and dangerous territory, both personally and physically,” said Natalie Chaidez, producer and showrunner for season two.

Along with Cuoco, Zosia Mamet, Griffin Matthews, Deniz Akdeniz, Rosie Perez, Alanna Ubach, Cheryl Hines, Jessie Ennis, Mae Martin, Margaret Cho, Santiago Cabrera and Shohreh Aghdashloo return. But there are also more talents, such as Sharon Stone as Lisa Bowden, Cassie's mother, who has preferred to stay away from her daughter's daily life, and McRae as a CIA official who becomes more involved with her agents. Callie Hernandez and J.J. Soria complete the cast as a couple of bounty hunters.

The second season of The Flight Attendant will premiere on Thursday, April 21 with two episodes, after which HBO Max will release one a week until May 26.
