Alianza Lima vs River Plate: Copa Libertadores match received guarantees from the National Police

This Monday night, the duel between Alianza Lima and River Plate, to be played this Wednesday, April 6, received the guarantees of the Peruvian National Police. Despite the events in the interior of the country and in the capital due to the stoppage of carriers, the Ministry of the Interior issued a statement so that the match to be played at the National Stadium can take place.

“To estimate the request for guarantees inherent in public order submitted by the Alianza Lima club, represented by Mr. Diego Enrique Guerrero Alburqueque, to hold a public sports show, called 'Conmebol Libertadores Copa Tournament' between the sports clubs Alianza Lima and River Plate”, can be read in the resolution.

Alianza Lima trained during the week at the Inmaculada school and then played football at the Alejandro Villanueva stadium to define the eleven that will come out against the Argentine team. The main novelty would be the inclusion of Cristian Benavente in the starting team. The 'Chaval' will play alongside Hernán Barcos to replace Aldair Rodríguez.

On the other hand, River Plate will not have two players due to COVID-19. “After the swabs made this morning, players Paulo Díaz and José Paradela have tested positive,” said the 'Millionario' through his social networks. All the other players are ready to leave for Lima and their flight will leave at 1:50 p.m. (Peruvian time) for the Lima capital.
