Martijn Gerar Garritsen or better known as the famous Dutch DJ Martin Garrix is one of the most renowned artists of the time. On April 3, Martin Garrix was seen at the Coldplay concert at the Foro Sol in Mexico City, however he went unnoticed by many fans. The DJ performed at the famous festival Pa'l Norte where he played for thousands of his fans and took the opportunity to enjoy the concert of this incredible band in Mexico.
He is one of the youngest DJs in the world to achieve fame in such a short time; with his first hit Animals in 2013 he ranked highest on many of the top charts at just 17 years old.
He was born on May 14, 1996 in Amstlveen Netherlands and since the age of eight he was involved with music and learned to play the guitar, as well as playing at the birthday parties of relatives of friends under the nickname DJ Marty. Christina Aguilera was one of the first singers to collaborate with the promising young man, Garrix was responsible for making a remix of his song Your Body, thus making more renowned artists want to collaborate with him.

It is known that his main inspiration for making music was DJ Tiësto's single Traffic which was performed at the Olympic Games in Athens in 2014; Garrix downloaded the FL Studio program to start composing. He graduated from the Herman Brood Academy production school.
A year after Animals with Spinnin'Records, he released Wizard and later Golden Skies where he collaborated with Sander Van Doorn and DVBBS, thus gaining more recognition and the start of his career. In early 2014, she performed at Ultra Music Festival where she performed new releases in collaboration with Dilon, Hardwell and Afrojack.
However, after having worked for a few years with the record company Spinnin' Records, the musician broke relations with it in 2015 as the discography wanted to keep the rights to the DJ's most famous song: Animals. In July 2016, the Dutchman signed a contract with Sony Music, a platform that opened more doors for him to collaborate with artists of different genres.
Tiësto, Avicii, The Weenknd, Bebe Rexha, The Roots, Dua Lipa and David Guetta are some of the artists who collaborated with the young DJ. Garrix also began playing at festivals around the world such as Tomorrowland. Two years after the lawsuit with Spinnin' Records, in September 2017 Garrix was victorious over the rights to his song and also created his own record label under the name STMPD RCRDS.
In 2019 he returned to the Tomorrowland stage held in France but this time as the lead DJ. DJ Mag magazine ranked him number 1 on a list that brings together the best DJs in the world for three consecutive years (2016 to 2018), being the youngest musician to have achieved it. It also has three MTV Europe Music Awards, one Youtube Music Award, four 3FM Awards for Beste Solo Artist and two Edison Pop.

As of 2018, Garrix was included in the list of the ten highest paid DJs in the world with an estimated net worth of $17 million.
