This Sunday a tragedy took place in a spa in Oaxaca where two minors lost their lives after being drowned. The events took place in the place known as the Ojo de Agua de Tolistoque, located in the area of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec.

Images began to circulate on social networks of the moment when people shouted to help the children, after observing that they did not leave the area where they were swimming. Then, moments later you can see how they are taking the body out of one of them, already unconscious. Although every effort was made to have them revived, it was not successful. The minors were declared lifeless.

During the afternoon, after 3 pm, the members of the Heroic Fire Department of that entity, belonging to the Juchitán substation, were notified of the events through their emergency line. Subsequently, the BJ-101 rapid attack unit, together with the BJ-107 ambulance, traveled to the scene, located between the towns of La Venta and La Ventosa.

However, these security elements were warned that the minors were taken in an ambulance and on a patrol to the community of La Ventosa.

Among the first data that transpired, it was said that both minors had moved away from the shore seeking to swim in an area with greater depth. Afterwards, the same attendees began to realize the children's efforts to swim and save themselves, but they did not succeed.

It should be noted that the Ojo de Agua de Tolistoque is an area considered a natural area, enabled by the same municipal authorities, which is dedicated to receiving visitors in hot weather, especially during Holy Week.

Meanwhile, at the end of last March, six brothers between six months and 11 years old lost their lives burned after the house they were in was consumed by fire, also in the state of Oaxaca.

“It seems that the mother of the minors lit her stove in the morning and went to the mill and when she returned the house had already burned down, since it is made of wood,” with the children inside, detailed the State Prosecutor's Office.

The house where the minors were located in Coicoyán de las Flores, a municipality located in the region of the Oaxacan Mixtec ethnic group, and is considered by federal government institutions as one of the three most marginalized and poverty-stricken in the country.
