This Saturday, April 2, the mayor of Bogotá, Claudia López, announced that the National Victims Unit will deliver humanitarian aid to the victims of the terrorist attack against the Police Immediate Care Command (CAI) located in the Arborizadora Alta neighborhood, in the town of Ciudad Bolívar, in which two minors died age.

The president toured this sector south of the capital in which the attack was perpetrated, attributed to the 33rd front of the FARC guerrilla dissidents, which left 35 dead and the death of five-year-old Ivanna Salome Rangel Molina and 12-year-old Daniel Steven Duque. From this place he confirmed this aid of up to two minimum wages for the reconstruction of the houses.

“The National Victims Unit will provide humanitarian assistance of up to two minimum wages to the families affected by the attacks in both Arborizadora Alta and Sierra Morena in Ciudad Bolívar,” the mayor explained at the end of her tour of the sector where she visited some of the families affected by the detonation to inform them of the measures that will be taken for the repair of years and social care.

The president also announced that according to a census that took place after the attack, which was perpetrated a week ago, 149 families were affected by the explosion, in their entirety and in damage to their homes, as well as 16 commercial premises with their owners and five vehicles in which drivers and passengers were found injured.

On the other hand, he confirmed that the Attorney General's Office succeeded in capturing an alleged member of the FARC dissidents in the town of Usme, while announcing that the measures that were decreed by the local administration, apart from seeking to find those responsible for the attack, are also intended to protect the inhabitants. “That's why the authorities captured 49 people from 15 gangs dedicated to theft, robbery, murder and drug trafficking in Bogotá,” he said.

“This is the way Bogotá always responds with solidarity, with always timely attention to families. Here we have been at the Unified Command Post in both Sierra Morena and Arborizadora where we have several services because life is not only the attack, they also have other needs,” said Mayor Claudia López.

For her part, the president held a meeting this Saturday with the authorities at the Unified Command Post (PMU) in which she received a balance of care for the affected families and the news in this locality. A meeting was also held with delegates from private sector companies that donated to families in these neighborhoods, some of the most affected by different types of violence.

“The services that the inhabitants of the sector can access at the Fair are related to the House of Justice, with the Ministry of Health through vaccination, pregnant mothers, children, taking tests, as well as support the secretariats of Education, Government, Social Integration and Security, among others,” reiterated the president.
