Félix Chero, Minister of Justice, spoke on the agreements that the government, the transport and agriculture unions have established in the face of the crisis economic and social situation in our country following the unemployment and demonstrations in various regions.
Through his official Twitter account, Chero was optimistic and said that “we will always be willing to listen to the needs of the people”.
As is recalled, the head of Minjus is also part of the team that has traveled to the Junín region to meet the needs of the communities and thus reach a consensus.
“We have signed an act of commitment with transport unions and farmers to, through dialogue, seek together a solution to their demands. In the government of Professor Pedro Castillo, we will always be willing to listen and propose solutions to the problems of the country,” he said in his Twitter message.
It should be mentioned that last Saturday, an act of commitment was signed between the Government and representatives of the transport and agricultural sector, in the city of Huancayo, agreeing to lift the strike, clear the roads and grant a five-day truce in order to continue the dialogue.
AGREEMENTS BETWEEN TRANSPORT AND AGRICULTURE GUILDS
The Minister of Economy, Oscar Graham, detailed what were the key points to sign the agreement that lifts the measure for 5 days. The holder of the portfolio said he was optimistic about this big step.
Through the signed act, citizens were informed that the Selective Consumption Tax (ISC) will be limited by 90% on a temporary basis; as well as, a bill to restrict the CSI to consumption will be submitted for three months on a provisional basis.
It was agreed to exonerate IGV for basic food products such as noodles, rice, flour and chicken. Work will continue with the coffee organizations of the Central Forest for the development of the production chain.
The extraction of guano from the island and its sale at a social price will increase from 20,000 tons to 100,000 tons per year.
PEDRO CASTILLO PRONOUNCES BEFORE AGREEMENT WITH GUILDS
President Pedro Castillo announced that the Government has today issued the supreme decree exonerating the Selective Consumption Tax (ISC) on 84- and 90-octane gasoline and oil, seeking peace and social stability in the country, especially for farmers and carriers.
“This measure, I am sure, will help the transport sector and with it will prevent the increase in prices of basic necessities that have been affecting Peruvian families,” said the head of state.
USE OF FRESH MILK IN DAIRY PRODUCTS
One of the main agreements reached in the agricultural sector is the approval of an emergency decree for the use of fresh milk in the manufacture of dairy products, limiting the use of powdered milk; and the increase in the extraction of guano from islands, which will be sold at a social price. It is expected to increase the supply of natural fertilizer from 20 thousand to more than 100 thousand tons this year.
“We are going to work along that line in this Working Group. We have met with all the guilds and agrarian organizations because you have always been heard and you will always be the first to be heard. We cannot miss this opportunity to work together, now that the government has declared the agricultural sector an emergency,” said Agriculture Minister Oscar Zea.
