Last Friday, the Colombian actress and model, Luly Bossa, published an emotional message in which she emphasized the importance she represents in everyday life for her 20-year-old son Angelo, who suffers from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD).

The 58-year-old artist, who has repeatedly been seen sharing with the youngest of her two children, confessed that she needs to have good habits to be able to take care of him for as long as possible. For this, he took as an example the British singer, Mick Jagge r, lead vocalist of the renowned band 'The Rolling Stones', who remains active after more than 60 years of career.

“Mick Jagger is 78 years old and does not get off the stage. There is hope. This is when. The mind, daily activity and habits are final. I need to last this man,” Bossa wrote through his Twitter account, where he also uploaded a photo with Angelo.

Muscular dystrophy causes progressive weakness and loss of muscle mass, so that the person who suffers from it has limitations when it comes to mobilizing and carrying out activities of daily living. Therefore, orthopedic braces or splints, physiotherapies and medications, among others, should be used to control symptoms and avoid complications.

This is part of the so-called rare or orphan diseases (HRD), which affect a small group of the population and which, as a result of their rarity, are not easy to diagnose. In Angelo's case, his condition was discovered at the age of 10, after Luly Bossa had to go to several specialists to try to explain what was happening to her little boy.

Medical studies have argued that this disease can be transmitted to children through the mother's genes. If the mother is a carrier, both males and females have a 50% chance of inheriting this condition. However, there are cases in which a family relationship has not been evidenced.

Supporting comments were not long in coming through digital platforms. The Colombian presenter, Monica Rodriguez, was one of the personalities who spoke about it: “So be it dear,” she said.

Likewise, hundreds of users also expressed their solidarity. “Woman takes off my hat, you're a brave woman of life. I completely understand you, when we are mothers we always seek to be well for those little people who fill our hearts and are the inspiration of our lives”; “my respects to your Mother's love, I will pray for you tonight”, were some of the reactions.

Another publication that excited several of his followers was a video, from the end of February, in which Bossa is seen in front of Angelo, having a good time of dancing and fun.

To the rhythm of 'Patacón Pisao', the actress took her son by the hands and began to dance, while he followed the rhythm with his head. In addition, in the middle of the dance, both expressed their love and detailed that in their house, constantly, both of them are filling each other with energy.

“He is my pause in the middle of my homework and studies, he is my reward, my reminder that I love you are not taken for granted, you have to say them and act so that the pod is consistent,” Luly Bossa wrote in his publication. And then he added “works are loves, for my Angelo and for me. It is one of the strongest spiritual and emotional foods. Now let's keep working.”
