A controversy has sparked the response that the mayor of Soacha Juan Carlos Saldarriaga said, amid a possession of student representatives and comptrollers.

During the meeting held at the Sua municipal theater, one of the high school students questioned the National Police, about the acts of abuse of authority left by last year's strike. The young student rebuked mayor soachuno for the performances of the uniformed men.

The young woman commented that the police were related to violations and abuses (due to the cases that occurred during the course of the national strike last year), but the matter did not end there, Mayor Saldarriaga answered the student with an analogy that was to clear up doubts, it generated great displeasure in the community.

“Is your dad a rapist? Or your mom? I'm sorry to put this example with you, but you don't have to generalize, because you find parents who abuse their children, but that doesn't mean, that you should say that they kill all the dads,” the president soachuno replied, leaving the students and participants of the Sua theater meeting stunned.

Although I reiterate that it was only an example to show that the stigmatization and generalization suffered by the uniformed, Saldarriaga's reply generated disgust. “We have cases in the police that need to be questioned and punished. But we can't generalize. As in a fruit basket, a bad fruit can be found, and it is up to us to remove it, so that it does not harm the others,” said Mayor Soachuno.

For her part, the minor stated that when wearing a uniform, the institution must be held responsible for the actions of its members: “I was taught that, if I fight in the uniform, I pay for school, because I am part of the institution”.

After this, Saldarriaga pointed out what recommendations or requests were to improve perception of authority, to which the capacity of the Sua theater responded that it is necessary to reform the Police. While the young student was congratulated on social media for her interventions, the Mayor was widely questioned by her response given to the minor.
