Heavy cargo carriers are demanding solutions to their demands from the government of President Pedro Castillo, which last Thursday minimized the measures of force and accused leaders of financing them.

We know that there are urgent demands to be addressed, but it will be difficult to resolve them without the will for dialogue and purpose of amendment. Brothers transporters, I pledge to seek solutions together for the benefit of all,” the president said in a tweet last Friday, the day when looting and demonstrations were reported in Huancayo following the blockade of roads.

In addition, it provided a solution to buy 'what Peru needs' from Venezuela, comparing it to other countries, such as the United States, which stand in long queues to access its oil.

The fertilizer crisis can be solved by buying from Venezuela. It is the only country that has the capacity to sell what Peru urgently needs and at the best price. If even American ships line up to buy oil at Venezuelan refineries, there should be no pretext for buying urea from the Bolivarian Republic. It is a matter of political decision,” he said.
