The beginning of the formation of the Del Valle was in 1906, when they began to sell the land with the “promise” that it would be a country area. In the 60′s urbanization began as we know it today.

The colony is famous for various reasons, including that important figures from Mexico such as Pedro Infante, Luis Miguel have lived there. In the 90s it was occupied as the setting for the film Romeo and Juliet, the church where the protagonists marry is the so-called Pure Heart of Mary.

Among the most touristic places in the Del Valle is Parque Sundido, De las Arboladas or San Lorenzo, the Parque de los Venados where you can do outdoor activities. For those who appreciate urban design, the Miguel Alemán Urban Complex is a recognized multi-family project, as is the Mexican Tower or the SCOP Center with its murals made by José Chávez Morado and Juan O'Gorman.
