The plot focuses on the life of Charles Foster Kane (Welles), whose career is rooted in his idealism and social service, but these noble intentions are transformed into a relentless ambition for power. Throughout flashbacks, the script finds the purpose of its story in the investigation of a journalist intrigued to know what was the last word the magnate uttered before his death. To date, this masterpiece is considered among the best films in cinema.
El mago de Oz
In 1939, Judy Garland, Frank Morgan, Ray Bolger, Jack Haley, Bert Lahr, Billie Burke and Margaret Hamilton brought to life the endearing characters of the musical classic that was based on the children's novel written by L. Frank Baum. The story begins with a tornado in the state of Kansas that drags a girl to a fantastic land where she will meet a talking scarecrow, a scary lion and a tin man. Together as a team, they will begin an adventure that will push them to their limits and face their fears to accumulate new life experiences.
Rebelde sin causa
Directed by Nicholas Ray, this drama and romance production was a sensation in the mid-1950s. It was a film adaptation of the book Rebel Without a Cause: The Hypnoanalysis of a Criminal Psychopath that tells the adventures of a rebellious teenager who falls in love with a young girl, goes against his parents' orders and confronts gangs in Los Angeles. James Dean, Natalie Wood, Sal Mineo, Jim Backus, Ann Doran and Corey Allen made up the main cast.
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory
Actor Gene Wilder was the first to play Willy Wonka in film, since the character originally belongs to the literary universe of Roald Dahl. This 1971 film, directed by Mel Stuart, follows a humble boy who receives a golden ticket to visit the great chocolatier's candy factory. In addition to him, other children from privileged backgrounds from different parts of the world attend the ride and nothing goes according to what is expected for them and their accompanying proxies.
