Andrea Legarreta has been married to Erik Rubín for 22 years, in that period, the couple saw the birth of two daughters, that is, Mia and Nina Rubín, however, the host of Hoy lost her firstborn son and remembered him this day.
During a conversation with a group of reporters, Andrea Legarreta shared that she took couples therapy with her husband and was then questioned about her desire to educate a child.
The presenter admitted that for a long time, having a son she was very excited, so when her marriage came to fruition, both she and Timbiriche sought the first pregnancy, but unfortunately, the baby could not come to term due to various medical reasons.
“Notice that the first baby I lost would have been a boy, they did a study of why and the reasons (for the loss) and what the sex was and would have been a child,” he shared.
Although at the time she experienced deep grief after the loss, the birth of Mia and Nina transformed her way of looking at life and she stopped idealizing what her perfect family should be like, understanding that happiness was in what she already had and not “what could have been”
“After that loss we understood that if you are going to have a baby, the one you have is the right one, it is the one that has to come into your life and in the end there are things that stop looking like a dream, in the end you have the children that you should have, they are the right ones and you have to wrap them up and hug, don't get infatuated with the sex of the baby, this father try to give him better human beings to this planet, educate them... everything that fatherhood implies,” he explained.
On the same day, the eternal lovers celebrated 22 years of marriage and the host surprised the former Timbiriche with a tender dedication that she shared on social networks.
During the early hours of this Friday, Andrea Legarreta took to her Instagram account to share an emotional message in honor of her beloved husband; she said that during the more than two decades they have been together they have learned, transformed and grown, as well as starting a family with her two daughters: Mia, a 17-year-old singer, and Nina, actress of 16.
“Just 22 years ago... 22 years of walking this path called life together... 22 years together against all odds... getting to know each other, transforming, learning, growing, enjoying, laughing, singing, dancing, traveling, in moments of tears, trials and storms... And moments of sunshine and rainbows... 22 years reinventing ourselves and adapting to so many ways to love”, began the host.
In her message, Andrea Legarreta took the space to recognize the daily work they do to strengthen their marriage, from the smallest things to resolving their differences, and ended by asking her to continue walking the same path together.
“Today, after saying YES 22 years ago, my heart overflows with joy to be sure that we were not mistaken. I am grateful for not letting us win in difficult times. I feel so grateful to God and life for “agreeing”. I am proud to witness what a great man you are and who you have become. Thank you love, for these 22!! Thank you for the family we are!!” , he continued.
