“Abusers”: CCH Naucalpan students reported that they were recorded in a bathroom

Through the Facebook group of the student community of the College of Sciences and Humanities (CCH Naucalpan) they shared live videos in the store where they protested that the owner allegedly recorded young people in the bathroom.

That is why some students from the Naucalpan campus went to the Miscellanea Ale, which is located near Calzada de los Remedios and made an intervention with signs pointing to store workers as cover-up, sexual abusers and pedophiles.

The situation became known on March 29, 2022 after a student shared on her social networks that when she wanted to enter the bathroom of CCH Naucalpan they did not allow her to pass and went to the Ale miscellaneous store where they provide that service for 5 pesos and narrated that “she already entered with distrust and almost immediately noticed that there was a cell phone above the lid of the water tank horizontally pointing forward with the rear camera, he took the cell phone and saw that it had been recording for 10 seconds, when he entered the gallery he saw that it was full of videos, including mine, where the genitals of people under age and older than age”.

After the denunciation, more students expressed situations that happened to them inside the store: “I remember that once I went, normally if I went to a bathroom it was the one at the inn, I don't know if it is still there, but when I went to that one, when I entered it it gave me a lot of fear and distrust, I never understood why until now, in addition to the fact that once they threw comments to a friend and especially because the guy there said that it was not clean, that he waited for me to pour water on it, something else that I don't know if it continues to happen now, but they said something like there was no light. It was around 2016, I think. The truth is that I am very scared because several friends and friends I had entered there and who knows where those videos went”.

For her part, the owner of the place was interviewed by the media and the students shared the testimonies given by the lady, who pointed out that the subject accused of filming the young women had only been working in the store for three days and that she had likewise been a victim.

After what happened, members of the management of CCH Naucalpan reported that after the events of capturing images without consent, they reported the situation to the Secretariat of Public Security of Naucalpan and to that of the State of Mexico, they shared that complaint 0278229/22/03 against those responsible was lodged. They also reported that legal support will be given to the affected persons as well as their families.

The students organized to hold a peaceful protest next Monday, April 4, under the slogan “you have no right to decide about my body”. The student community continues to share testimonies about the store, among them, a student from Tecnológico Cuicalli located in front of CCH Naucalpan, stated that she had a similar experience: “I went to that store, and I paid my $5 pesos ticket to the toilet, but before entering the boy who is in that store told me “that will wait why I had something there that could not be passed, then I waited and if it did happen to go to the toilet. Chic @s, this situation is so worrying, since as a woman who went to the bathroom I was able to see it recorded without my consent. Let justice be done!”
