Mexico is a country full of wonderful places to visit such as the Magic Towns that offer incredible experiences and even if you have a limited budget it is possible to visit them, in addition to the fact that some are very close to Mexico City.

Mineral del Chico, Hidalgo, is a place to practice sports and recreational activities such as climbing, hiking, abseiling, ziplining, fishing among many more. It is surrounded by mountains, valleys and dams and even mines, which allows you to enjoy a connection with nature. You can rent cabins or even camp in the National Park.

The best way to start is a tour of the traditional market and enjoy a breakfast that includes quesadillas, huaraches, sopes, tacos, etc. Also in April it is the season of the famous escamoles. The places that are not to be missed are the Church of the Purísima Concepción, the Mines of San Antonio and La Guadalupe, the El Chico National Park, Peñas las Monjas, the El Cedral dam, the Via Ferrata, among others.

Initially it was called Real de Atotonilco which meant Place of Hot Springs, however the name did not correspond to the place. It is known that during the period of greatest splendour there were around 300 silver mines, which is why it is currently called Mineral del Chico.
