After the 94th annual Oscar Awards, the film CODA: Signs of the Heart, in which Eugenio Derbez participated, was awarded Best Film. Faced with this, various personalities from the artistic field, as well as public officials and social media users celebrated the Mexican's triumph in Los Angeles, California.

The one who joined the list of celebrities who celebrated Derbez's triumph was his former son-in-law Mauricio Ochmann, who during the promotion of his new film alongside Omar Chaparro, Zuria Vega and Mauricio Barrientos, better known as El Diablito, took advantage of his intervention on the microphones with Jesse Cervantes to send him warm congratulations.

“I have two points of view, one as an actor: it is a huge pride in the profession, for being up there, because your film has that recognition, it seems to me a pride, it is to be applauded,” Ochmann commented.

However, the Chema interpreter recalled that, for some time, the father of his ex-wife had seen himself being awarded at the awards, because according to Derbez's statements, he dreamed of that moment since childhood.

“But to me, the depth of having had this dream, this connection for many years and of having been visualized at the Oscars, seems even stronger,” said the Chema interpreter

The message at the end is that we can, obviously with a lot of work, with a lot of dedication, with a lot of discipline, with everything, but we can make dreams come true,” Ochmann reflected. “It's the same thing, to applaud yourself and a message for all people, that you can achieve what you want in life, in some way,” he added.

My dad has been my number one teacher to show me that dreams materialize [...] Something I've always admired about him is how excited he is and how he enjoys everything he does... and I think that's the key [...] Dad, thank you for being such a beautiful example to so many. I'll always be proud to be your daughter. I love you with all my heart,” he concluded.
