Peru could be in Group D, Cueva's rematch and the memes left by the Qatar 2022 World Draw

The Peruvian national team would have France, Denmark and Tunisia as possible rivals, in case it wins on June 13 in the playoff against Australia or the United Arab Emirates.

Football always has revenges. This Friday, April 1, the Qatar 2022 World Cup Draw was held to find out how the 8 groups that will face each other in the important sporting event will look like. In case of winning the repechage on June 13, Peru will be part of Group D, made up of Tunisia, France and Denmark.

Undoubtedly, Peruvians do not forget that the 'bleus' and the Danes were former rivals of the 'White-Red' in the 2018 World Cup in Russia. As you remember, Peru fell 1-0 to Denmark, lost 1-0 to France and, although it beat Australia 2-0, it was still eliminated.

For that reason, users were surprised by the ironic fate of the Peruvian national team, since, if they qualified for the Qatar 2022 World Cup, they could claim their revenge after four years. To achieve this, Ricardo Gareca's team must beat Australia or the United Arab Emirates yes or yes.

However, what excites Internet users most is the possible reparation of Christian Cueva, who has been harshly criticized in the past for having missed a goal in the Peruvian national team's debut against Denmark. If Peru qualifies, this could be your chance to remove the thorn in it.

DATE OF THE REPECHAGE

The Peruvian national team was able to learn that their match for the Qatar 2022 repechage will be played on June 13 in Doha from 01:00pm (Peruvian time) and will be played at single party, as already established by FIFA. The rival will leave between the United Arab Emirates and Australia on June 7.

Perú derrotó 2-0 a Paraguay en Lima y logró el repechaje en la última fecha de Eliminatorias.

NO HEADQUARTERS WILL BE CHANGED

Despite the fact that in recent days there was talk of possible changes in the format and scenarios for Peru's match in the one-quota repechage against Qatar 2022, everything will follow the same path. The Peruvian national team will play its way to the World Cup in Doha in June, where the highest temperatures of the year occur in this country.

It seems that Conmebol and Concacaf tried to change the way they played it from a single match to two, back and forth with locals or, otherwise, to play in a more neutral country for both teams. However, none of this will happen and the match for the repechage will be played in a scenario where the possible rival of the 'white and red' (Arab Emirates or Australia) has more experience.

As it became known, the date was set for June 13 from 01:00pm (Peruvian time) and will be in the capital of the host country. In this month there is hellish heat and temperatures can reach between 38 and 45 degrees. Despite the fact that the stadiums are acclimatized, this experience is still hard, being one of the reasons why FIFA changed the date of the world cup.
