Mauro Castillo released song in English and Spanish after his participation in the 2022 Oscars Awards

The song is called 'Chacha me' and each of its two versions has a music video

Among the many musical tasks that Mauro Castillo will surely have on his agenda, there is the release of a song called 'Chacha me', which was recorded not only in Spanish but also in English. In fact, last Thursday, March 31, was the date selected in the calendar for the premiere of this song in its two versions, which, each of them, had its respective music video properly.

“My band, this week was very positive: we won an Oscar and we made someone smile. I invite you to celebrate with me to the rhythm of a chachachá on my YouTube channel. A hug and you love them!” , was written by the singer Caleño on his social networks as a promotion of his song.

So, with regard to your message, it is worth recalling two important events. On the one hand, having “made a person smile” was probably a reference to the moment when he sang a cappella 'We Don't Talk About Bruno' to a girl with Down Syndrome, who smiled non-stop when she saw the musical show that the Colombian artist was giving her.

'Encanto', an animated feature film inspired by Colombia, enclosed — among others — the dubbing work of Maluma (reggaeton singer), who developed in the vocal performance of 'Mariano'. Likewise, María Cecilia Botero (actress) and Alejandro Riaño (comedian) also captured their talent in this field, the characters with whom they acted vocally were 'Grandmother Madrigal' and her son 'Bruno'.

Also worth mentioning is the dubbing done by Olga Lucía Vives (singer), Carolina Gaitan (actress/singer) and Mauro Castillo (singer), their characters to be played are also members of the 'Madrigal' family: 'Mirabel', 'Pepa' and 'Felix', in their respective order.

Last Sunday, March 27 was the date on which the 2022 Oscars were held. And, 'Encanto' was among the list of winners, the category in which it was victorious was that of 'Best Animated Film'. If we talk about the other productions that also had their names reflected in that category as candidates, these were: 'Luca', 'Flee', 'Rayay, the last dragon' and 'The Mitchers against the machines'.

But beyond the fact that this film by Walt Disney Animation Studios had the label of being the 'Best Animated Film', Mauro Castillo together with Carolina Gaitan and other artists played a role in the performance of 'We Don't Talk About Bruno' at the awards ceremony.

“Singing at the Oscars with the conviction that I have been doing this since I was a child, of knowing what I love, what fills me and what has touched the heart of so many around the world with 'We don't talk about Bruno', 'Encanto', thank you”, were Gaitan's words about it, which he posted on his Instagram.

Needless to say, Sebastián Yatra also sang his song 'Encanto' at the 2022 Oscars, that is, he played 'Two caterpillars'. Lin-Manuel Miranda wrote the songs for the tape.
