The Colombia national team managed to score six points on the last date of the qualifiers, however, it was not enough as it did not participate in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. A very hard blow to a team made up of a generation that had become accustomed to playing the World Cup. Several of the top referents are doubtful for the following qualifiers and if that is the case, to play the Canada/US/Mexico World Cup in 2026. Juan Guillermo Cuadrado was quite affected by what happened and in a message on social networks he left a great concern.

“Just remembering that after 16 years we returned to a World Cup twice in a row is a reason to thank. Nobody but us as a family knows the sadness and more about thinking that it was your last chance for me (sic), but even in the middle of it we must get up and move on,” wrote the Colombian player who is currently wearing the Juventus shirt.

This publication leaves a big question mark among the fans of the Colombia National Team, as it could be the retirement of Juan Guillermo Cuadrado from the Tricolor. For now, the player, who was dismissed before the match with Venezuela, is in Turin and is preparing for the next Juventus match against Inter Milan next Sunday, March 3.

Although the Juventus player's permanent absence from the national team has not yet been confirmed, his message has been understood by many people as a possible farewell, so on this last date of the qualifiers, he could have played his last match wearing the colors of the Colombian National Team. However, nothing can be confirmed yet and for now the national team will have to be restructured to think about the next Qualifiers.

3 - World Cup Brazil 2014 and Russia 2018: juan Guillermo Cuadrado was key in the two appearances of the Colombia National Team in the world championships. In Brazil 2014 he played every match played by the Pékerman team and reported with a goal. In Russia 2018 he was also present at all Tricolor games and reported with a goal against Poland.

4- 10 goals and 19 assists for the Colombia National Team: Since making his debut in 2010 under the leadership of 'Bolillo' Gómez and until March 24, 2022 when he faced the Boliviana National Team, the Colombian scored a total of 10 goals for the Colombian National Team, two in world championships, two for Qualifying, one for Copa America and five in friendlies.
