Alias Piter, alleged leader of the Second Marquetalia, was captured in Bogotá

In recent hours, the Attorney General's Office confirmed the capture of César Alejandro Díaz Montenegro, also known as alias' Piter 'or' Aldair ', this man is presumed to be one of the most important leaders of the armed structures of the so-called Second Marquetalia, dissident faction of the extinct FARC.

Carlos Roberto Izquierdo Ortegón, Director Specialized Against Criminal Organizations of the Prosecutor's Office, explained in detail the operation and the process of arrest, noting: “The evidentiary material submitted by a prosecutor attached to the Specialized Directorate against Criminal Organizations allowed the prosecution of an alleged leader of the FARC Second Marquetry dissidents, this person responds to the name of César Alejandro Díaz Montenegro, known by the alias of 'Aldair' or 'PIter', was captured by members of the Technical Investigation Corps in the town of Usme in the city of Bogotá, this person was allegedly in the city of Bogotá escaping the military operations being carried out against him, where he would find himself negotiating war material such as explosives and weapons destined for his zone of interference in the department of Huila and Caquetá, alias' Aldair 'or' Peter 'was a trusted man alias 'El Paisa' who was currently in command of 'El Paisa' Loco Ferney' who is the alleged leader of the organization commonly known as Fernando Díaz commission formerly column Teofilo Forero of the FARC, Diaz Montenegro was charged with the crime of concert to aggravate crime”.

The capture operation was sent to the Alfonso López neighborhood, south of Bogotá City, precisely in the town of Usme, in this case men from the CIT tried to enter the building through the first floor, but with constant surveillance at the top of the house. Alias 'El Loco Ferney' would be the main leader who directed the operations of alias' Piter ', in turn, this criminal was allegedly under the orders of Hernán Darío Velásquez Saldarriaga, alias 'El Paisa', a recognized criminal of the extinct FARC, to this day, Díaz Montenegro was part of the column Fernando Díaz, known formerly as Theofilo Forero.
