The United Kingdom sanctioned the owner of the Russian channel RT and Colonel Mikhail Mizintsev, “the butcher of Mariupol”

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said they will continue punishments to increase pressure on the Kremlin and to ensure that Vladimir Putin does not impose himself in Ukraine

The United Kingdom imposed new sanctions on prominent Russian personalities and military leaders, including Sergey Brilev, propagandist who owns Russia Today (RT) news channel.

Other Russian personalities facing sanctions include Aleksandr Zharov, CEO of Gazprom-Media, Alexey Nikolov, managing director of RT, and Anton Anisimov, director of Sputnik International Broadcasting.

Colonel Mikhail Mizintsev, nicknamed “the butcher of Mariupol”, is also among the 14 new additions to the sanctions list.
