The road to La Línea closed due to tractor-truck accident, the driver died

Tragic accident on the La Línea road between Cajamarca and Calarcá where a truck transporting coffee packages, had some faults in his vehicle, so he lost control of it and ended up hitting another one that was later and ended up capsizing over the road. The driver of the car lost his life.

The events took place around 8:30 in the morning and according to the first versions, the vehicle that was already a few kilometers away from reaching 'Villa del Cacique'. Unfortunately, the driver of the vehicle registered with TVA-362 license plates lost his life on the scene. The authorities were present at the scene a few minutes later where they confirmed the seriousness of the accident.

This vehicle accident caused the total closure of the road axis in La Línea between Cajamarca-Calarcá, so there is severe traffic congestion in the vicinity of the site. Three tractomules were involved in the collision that were transiting the area. The authorities seek to clarify what really happened in the events that leave a deceased person as a result.

The car that hit and then overturned, was destroyed and its load of coffee spread over much of the road. Several users have reported the tragic accident and have shown what the accident site looked like after the multiple impact. The authorities hope in at least three hours to be able to make vehicle passage through this important stretch of road again.

The first versions of the witnesses report that the driver would have noticed the failure of the brakes, since he managed to warn some drivers several meters back and warned them to move out of the way until he finally hit another tractor. Agents of the National Police of Quindío from the Transit and Transport Section are already on the scene.

Last Tuesday, March 29, a person tried to get on a tractomule, however he ended up falling onto the track and was hit by the vehicle. The accident occurred at kilometer 7 and according to the first versions, the man tried to get on the trailer of the truck, however, he slipped with the vehicle in motion and was dragged by the rear tires.

It is important to note that the driver of the tractomule did not notice what happened, but it was until several drivers let him know that there was a man between the wheels and he was being dragged for a few meters. The authorities arrived at the scene of what happened and began to carry out the respective investigation into what happened.

Recently there was also an accident involving a truck that capsized at kilometer 14 in La Línea. The accident occurred on the night of last Monday, March 28, and the accident left no people dead or injured. The car was carrying bottles of water, juices and soda. This also led to the provisional closure of one of the lanes of the place.
