Omar Chaparro joked about Eugenio Derbez's “snub” to Mauricio Ochmann: “He didn't answer him”

Eugenio Derbez continues to talk about after the 94th annual Oscar Awards, where CODA, a project where he played Bernardo Villalobos, surprised by winning the golden statuette for “Best Film”. Since that moment, the Mexican has not stopped receiving the well-deserved recognition from the public and figures of the media, including Omar Chaparro and Mauricio Ochmann.

During a press conference on the occasion of the presentation of And how is he, the new film that they starred with Mauricio Barrientos El Diablito, the actors confessed that they have already congratulated the famous Mexican comedian through messages and only Omar Chaparro would have received a response, for that reason he joked with an alleged deplant that his friend would have made with his ex-son-in-law.

“I sent him a few messages and he answered me very nicely, but I would not like to say what he answered me, especially since Mauricio also sent him a message and he has not answered him,” he declared, sparking the laughter of his companions.

“It's okay, I'm very happy for him and that's it,” replied Aislinn Derbez's ex-husband. “Friend has a lot of messages to see,” said Omar Chaparro trying to comfort his co-star. “Imagine, everyone is writing to him right now,” Ochmann continued.

Despite the ridicule, the protagonist of El Chema mentioned that he was very happy about the success that his former father-in-law achieved with the film because he knows that it was one of his dreams to be at the Oscars and he thanked the example he is setting for the artists because his achievements are a reflection that the goals are achieved based on effort.

“It has a very personal story, suddenly seeing him there you say: 'Dreams come true', that is, that is the message we should be giving so that people really follow what they are passionate about, whatever it is [...] I hope the congratulations came to him,” he said.

Without giving further details, both actors gave their opinion on the controversy that arose after Eugenio Derbez recalled the attitude that Blanca Guerra had during a special screening of No Returns Accepted. In an interview with Gustavo Adolfo Infante for his YouTube program, the creator of XHDBZ confessed that several years ago the actress would have demerited her work and it would have been rude.

“It really hurt me that she was taken away from her opportunity and Blanca Guerra not only disqualified her, but I invited her to a private presentation and it was very disrespectful [...] I wanted to see his reaction and I see how he let out a laugh along with the guy he was going with,” he said.
