Artists, managers and organizations that are committed to inclusion in Cali will be able to participate in a call that seeks to support different artistic projects. From March 31 to May 1, the call for Stimuli will be open, which seeks to benefit more than 400 projects in this first half of the year. This first stage envisages an investment of about 2.7 billion pesos, but it is expected that with the opening of other opportunities, 7 billion pesos will end up being used to support culture in the capital of Valle del Cauca.
It was detailed that in total there will be 16 areas of culture in which artists and managers will be able to apply for their proposals and which seek to expand coverage to a greater number of population groups.
Authorities say they detected the need to expand the delivery of resources by stimulus. For that reason, this year, creative projects that in 2021 received at least 4 million pesos and a maximum of 7 million pesos for their realization, in 2022, will have a resource of 10 to 30 million pesos, respectively.
Likewise, for 2022, a new concept called 'effective participation' will be implemented, which aims to expand spaces through practices that contribute to the claim of rights under four specific actions: gender parity, strategies for participation and inclusion of various LGBTIQ+ population groups, age groups and persons with disabilities, environmentally friendly processes and reflection on social issues.
The Caleño authorities emphasize that this year the call for Stimulus will be exempt from stamp taxes, Industry and Commerce and VAT, which would reduce the deductions in the contracts of artists and organizations winning these processes by about 10%.
Finally, they indicate that Estimulos also launches the call for Juries 2022, which will have an investment of 250 million pesos for the selection of the Juries. Similarly, the call for Circulation will be opened, for individual or associative proposals that require support to circulate their artistic manifestation nationally or internationally.
It was indicated that in the near future, the other programs of this 2022 call agenda of the Ministry of Culture will be shared, which includes the program of District Concertation of Supported Artistic and Cultural Projects, calls for festivals and the concert project 'Cali, a whole town that inspires'.
