The Social Health Security (EsSalud) reported that only until today formal workers working in the private sector will be able to collect the extraordinary bonus of S/ 210 soles. If not left over today, the money will be returned to the Ministry of Labour and Employment Promotion (MTPE).
It is recalled that this subsidy was granted by the Government to contribute to the economic recovery in the face of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. First, the money was paid to formal workers in the public sector, and then EsSalud was responsible for depositing the money to employees in the private sector.
Thus, in accordance with the provisions of Emergency Decree No. 105-2021, as of Friday, April 1, the amounts of bonuses that have not been collected by private collaborators will be extorted to the MTPE account for reversal to the Public Treasury.
So far, according to information from Social Security, about 2 million 385 thousand workers have been paid through bank accounts in private financial institutions and the Banco de la Nación. This represents more than 88% of the total beneficiaries. Most of the payments correspond to the deposit method, where the institution makes the credit to bank accounts where people receive their monthly remuneration.
On the other hand, about 280,000 have not yet paid the bonus at the Banco de la Nación, where they were assigned the mode of payment by the window. A special call is made to this group to approach any agency of the state financial institution and collect the bond.
