A school football promise must befriend a suspect in multiple murders to reduce his prison sentence in Black Bird, the new psychological thriller starring Taron Egerton for Apple TV+. The streaming platform shared this Thursday, March 31, the first images of this six-episode series and the release date of the first two.

Television fiction takes the real events narrated in the crime books “In With The Devil: A Fallen Hero, A Serial Killer and A Dangerous Bargain for Redemption” to present us with a story full of drama and suspense. Inspired by these two publications, the plot follows Jimmy Keene (Egerton), a high school football hero and son of a decorated policeman and convicted drug trafficker. He is sentenced to 10 years in a minimum security prison, but he will have to make a decision that puts his future at stake.

He will have to be transferred to a maximum-security prison, which brings together the worst criminals, and he will have to forge a friendship with a suspected serial killer, Larry Hall (Paul Walter Hauser); or he can simply refuse to take this risk and serve a full decade in prison without the option of earning a parole. Jimmy decides to try and the purpose of this strategy will be to obtain a confession so that the authorities can locate the lifeless bodies of several girls before the man's appeal is approved.

In the process of this difficult task, the protagonist will wonder if this suspect is really telling him the truth... Perhaps, he is just messing with his mind as any other psychopath would. Black Bird is an adaptation of this real case that promises to surprise the viewer with the captivating performances of the cast within the crime and mystery genre on the small screen.
