Sometimes the Internet has connection failures, causing conflicts, especially when you are in the middle of a telework meeting or a remote class, so this time we present some basic tips to identify and solve the problem.

While they may be due to problems with the company providing the service, before calling to file a report, you can try some of these tips,

If you are using a PC, you can check with the computer system if there is a possible problem, in order to also discard options. The user must go to “Control Panel/Network and Sharing Center” and select the connection they have to see its status. There it will briefly display the results and you can see if it is the Ethernet cable or the WiFi signal.

Sometimes the obvious things aren't as visible as they seem, so a good option is to check if it's not a particular device that is having problems. There can be a lot of things that you might be having an error about, so experts recommend restarting the device you are having problems with. You can also try to turn on airplane mode or turn off and on WiFi.

If the problems persist, it may be due to the browser and that some extension is crashing or that the program is having problems. In this case you can try another browser or restart the program.

It cannot be ruled out that it is a problem with the router. One way to know is because problems no longer happen at a specific time and become constant. In this case, you can try changing the router cable or at least disconnecting it and reconnecting it a few seconds later. If the problems still continue, you can try other options.

In some cases, there may be connection errors because the router or modem is not placed in a good place, or that it is bothering after a move was made. In the first case it may be that you are in a part of the house where there is not enough power to send a signal to another area of the house.

In this situation, you can try putting the router in a place where there is good signal or buy a signal repeater so that the Internet reaches all parts of the home, including rooms far away or on another floor.

If even trying the previous options everything remains the same, you can try to identify if it is something of the company, for this you can measure the speed of the Internet and even check on social networks if it is not a general drop in all users at that time.

If the speed measurement results are low, the router can be restarted. If the fault has not been solved, it is best to contact the operator directly, either by call or social networks to file a report and the fault is resolved as soon as possible. In this case, it remains only to hope that the company will resolve the errors as soon as possible.
