Amazon Echo device owners can now choose a new wake word for the Alexa voice assistant. It's called Ziggy, and it's the fifth wake word next to Alexa, Computer, Echo and Amazon. These are all viable alternatives regardless of whether Alexa's female or male voice is active. The only restriction: the change of the Alexa wake word, and therefore also the selection of Ziggy, only works on Amazon's Echo devices, not those of other manufacturers. Echo devices allow specific settings, so you can assign a different wake word to each device. To change it, simply go to the settings of the respective device in the Alexa app. If Ziggy is not on the list, it will be worth waiting a few days. Amazon is gradually updating Echo devices. dpa
