With considerable discomfort and disgust it was passed by hundreds of passengers at the airports of Barranquilla, Panama and Bogotá during the night of Tuesday and early Wednesday, after the Rionegro air terminal (Antioquia) was out of service due to the incident that a Latam airplane had on its landing gear in the late.

On the Twitter account Denunciations Antioquia published videos of how people who had scheduled their flights to leave Medellín had to spend the night in the corridors along with their suitcases and in some cases even with their children.

The situation was similar for travelers heading to the capital of Antioquia from Barranquilla, where there was widespread discomfort. A similar situation occurred in El Dorado, in Bogotá, where a flight from Cancun left its users in that city. They reported that they were not given a solution to what happened.

Even internationally, at the Tocumen airport in Panama City (Panama) there were passengers waiting for a solution to travel to the capital of Antioquia.

On the Twitter account of the José María Córdova airport in Rionegro, which at 11 pm had to cancel 24 flights and 11 were delayed to leave that area of the country. While among those scheduled to arrive at that air terminal, five were canceled and 60 were delayed.

The emergency occurred when the aircraft registered CC-BAS operating flight LA4292 on the Medellin-Cartagena route presented a problem with one of the nose train wheels during takeoff.

Faced with this, the commander and crew, upon detecting the fault, decided to fly over the airport area to consume fuel and declared an emergency, so it was given priority for landing, which was finally given at 15:12 local time, as confirmed by LATAM Airlines Colombia in a statement.

The airport manager (e) himself, Javier Benitez, pointed out through this social network that the removal of that wrecked plane would be quite complex and would take several hours.

“It is a long process which has caused setbacks in the normal operation of the airport, affecting 30 operations that we had planned and we hope in a few hours to resume the operation. It is important for passengers to approach their airlines,” he said.
