Accordion player Edgardo Bolaño was the victim of a robbery in northern Barranquilla. The events occurred before its presentation. In this one he lost his four accordions. According to preliminary information, this happened outside a well-known establishment Callejón Internacional, where the performer was going to perform together with the vallenato singer Jorge Mario Acuña.

“He asked me why life is so unfair, because things like this have to happen with people who fight every day for their dreams. I can't hide the sadness I feel about this situation,” Acuña said on her social media.

He added that “we don't know what happened and in a matter of seconds, because we withdrew 10 minutes from the car, when Edgardo Bolaño returned to the car he was already like that. We were all surprised. We were waiting in line to enter the event, we were looking forward to singing to Barranquilla, I hope you understand and it is a situation that is not easy and better times will come.”

Bolaño told what happened on his social networks, that “March 28, I was going to play with Jorge Mario Acuña and the musicians of Julio Rojas Díaz on El Sebastucho's birthday in the International Callejón (Carrera 43 #70 -106) the performance was scheduled to start at 9:30pm. I arrived at the venue alone in my car at 9:03pm, parked at the Don Kike Hardware Store (Carrera 43 #70b corner) right in front of the event venue and was waiting for the other musicians to arrive. At 9:30pm I got out of the car and started talking to some of the musicians who had arrived, I was always close to the car, never left and kept keeping an eye on it.”

He added that “the event was late and the entrance was congested with people, there was no way that the group could enter, so we had to wait until there was a chance to enter. At approximately 10:25pm, when the entrance was more free and they gave us way, I went to the car to get the accordions with the group assistant, I opened the car, there I had them, and I was surprised that the accordions were not there, scared I went around the car to check it and I saw that one of the doors in the back of the car was not I had the glass and the back chairs were running forward and that's where they had taken out my accordions. In addition to the accordions, they took a personal monitoring system brand TAKSTAR and a backpack where I had the clothes I was going to play with.”

The accordion player claimed that after realizing what happened, they called the police, but there is still no official communication from the authorities.

Bolaño indicated that the value of what was stolen amounts to $20 million. “I inform all the people who ask me that I feel well, that nothing happened to me. The show was suspended and well, in the name of God that my accordions appear,” said the musician on his social networks.

For now, the Metropolitan Police is already carrying out the relevant investigations to determine the whereabouts of those responsible for the theft.

“We thank all the people who have sent us a nice message and who want to help us with something, please write to me by private message to be able to send them the account number or nequi, wherever you want,” said Acuña on his social networks.

He also pointed out that “I know that good people are more and God never leaves his good children like Edgardo Bolaño alone. I know that God's timing is perfect and I know that soon you will have your working tools again, which are your accordions, your livelihood. What a great pain to see so much injustice and people who earn things easy without thinking about the harm they cause to a person, than with those tools that sustain their lives and help their family. I feel outraged, unhappy and sad I don't know the truth it does. I just ask God to show up.”
