The counting commissions continued to count the votes of the legislative elections, although many thought that the Congress of the Republic was already defined, the thresholds continued to move. In the coming hours, a historic milestone for Colombia's politics would be confirmed, as the Historical Pact would have exceeded two million eight hundred votes and, in turn, added another seat in the Senate for the 202-2026 legislature.

Although initially the possibilities of a vote count would leave the doors open to continue adding seats, the cancellation of this and the continuation of the general count, opened the way to adding one more seat in the upper house of the national congress, as announced by Senator Gustavo Bolivar, around midnight this year tuesday.

In this way, the results weigh the historic pact with a total of 2,800,730 votes, adding one more seat and forcefully becoming the predominant and most voted political force in the country in legislative elections. Although taking into account the votes found, the threshold does not change much, political cards continue to be moved that allow this coalition to give strength to the presidential coalition.

For his part, Senator Bolívar pointed out that the results are due to the tireless work of the witnesses exposed by the Historical Pact and their lawyers, who since March 13, have carried out follow-up work in order to determine what will be the total constitution of the National Congress, in addition to this, the lobbyist explained that this whole process has been carried out in front of judges of the Republic, members of the Office of the Procurator and representatives of all political parties in the country.

Despite the fact that the announcement was made at altar hours of the night, I don't save the excitement for such an important event, Bolívar stressed: “What a pity to bother you at this hour, but it is to tell you that we reached 2.8 million votes and we already have the CURUL 20 Most Voted List in the history of Colombia! All thanks to a handful of witnesses and lawyers who have tirelessly spent day and night watching the scrutiny that, it is worth remembering, before judges of the Republic, delegates of the Attorney General's Office and all parties. Standing up applause for them. Closer and closer to #PPP.” .

According to calculations and information provided by Senator Gustavo Bolívar, who would be awarded the 20th seat of the Historical Pact, would be leader Jahel Quiroga, director of the Reiniciar Corporation and former member of the Patriotic Union, a movement of which has raised the flag throughout history, in search of contributing to the clarification of the facts that led to the extermination of that movement.

Quiroga Carrillo, has moved by the politics of the parties of the left, starting with the Patriotic Union and likewise, having ties with the Democratic Pole and other national opposition movements. In 2014 it was presumed to be the vice-presidential formula of Aida Avella, however, at that time it was Juan Manuel Santos Calderón who won the presidency.

As stated by Congressman Bolívar, the party that would lose its seat in the face of the rise of the Historical Pact would be the Liberal Party, which would go from having 15 seats to only 14. Taking into account the data of the National Civil Status Registry, Sara Jimena Castellanos Rodríguez, would lose her seat in the senate after this move.

Sara Castellanos predominated in the Bogotá council, from which she resigned in order to aspire to the Senate for the Liberal Party. She is the daughter of Christian pastor César Castellanos, founder of the Church Misión Charismatica Internacional, one of the largest and most important religious centers in the capital of the Republic, in the same way, she is the daughter of the Senator Emma Claudia castellanos.
