Televisa: what was the soap opera with which Andrea Legarreta was able to consecrate herself, but in the end she was not

Andrea Legarreta has managed to position herself as one of the most famous presenters on Mexican television, but before her success in conducting, she had a very promising future as a protagonist in telenovelas. One of the most important projects of her acting career left her to follow her dreams.

Since she was a child, Andrea Legarreta began her acting career on television. He participated in multiple programs during his childhood and then ventured into music. However, his interest was in soap operas and cinema.

Carousel and Reach a Star were some of the most successful melodramas he participated in before dedicating himself entirely to driving. In the midst of her rise as an actress, in 1999 she received one of the most important offers of her career as a presenter: to be part of Hoy as the starter of the morning, which would replace Just today, a program with which he had won the love of television viewers.

However, at the same time he was in castings for an ambitious Televisa soap opera that would be called Llegaste at Destiempo. For this melodrama she was considered the protagonist.

Andrea couldn't be in both projects at the same time, because they told her that she had to dedicate herself entirely to Hoy or the soap opera, so she decided to abandon the castings of Llegaste at Destiempo and agreed to continue with the driving, as that had become her true passion.

After the departure of Legarreta, you arrived at untimely underwent many changes before starting recordings. First, the name was changed to Tres Mujeres and, later, the producer ceased to be José Rendón so that Roberto Hernández Vázquez took the lead on the project.

The protagonists were Erika Buenfil, Karyme Lozano and Norma Herrera. The story tells the life of Fatima Uriarte (Lozano), who is characterized by being an iron woman. The Uriarte family is not what it appears to be, because they have many internal problems and, mainly, with Fatima.

Although Fatima is the protagonist of the story, Barbara (Buenfil) and Greta (Herrera), the young woman's sister and mother, are a fundamental part of the plot, as they go through circumstances that lead them to deal with different people in their search for true love.

The telenovela was intended to only be less than 100 episodes, but since its premiere it became one of Televisa's greatest hits. It was so well received by this melodrama that they decided to extend it to 275 chapters.

Thanks to Tres Mujeres Karyme Lozano catapulted her acting career to fame. From then on, he became the protagonist of several productions, a fate that Legarreta would have had if he stayed within the project.

Although the success of the soap opera she abandoned was evident, Legarreta did not regret her decision to dedicate herself to Hoy, since she later starred in ¡Vivan los niños! , a melodrama that was also very well received by the public. After this project, she completely quit acting to just be a presenter.

In an interview with Faisy on Faisy Nights, Andrea confessed that being a presenter was one of her biggest dreams since she fully integrated into the entertainment industry, so being part of Today was an achievement for her.

Likewise, he shared he thinks it was the best decision to accept Hoy because today the program is still one of the most important on Mexican television, unlike Tres Mujeres, which remained only in its success in 2000.
