Stoppage of heavy cargo carriers keeps roads blocked and generates increases in food prices

The National Police released the list of roads that have been blocked for three days and that prevent the passage of passenger transport and the entry of food into the capital.

For the third consecutive day, the national strike for heavy cargo carriers, complied by the National Union of Freight Carriers (GNTC) continues and a farmers sector in the face of the increase in fuels. As of Tuesday, around 40 roads had been blocked across the country, mainly on the roads linking Junín, Cusco, Chimbote, San Martin, Puno, Abancay.

FOOD PRICES

In the markets there has been an increase in prices of around 10%, mainly in vegetables and fruits due to the low inflow of products they have had during these three days of unemployment . The cost could continue to increase or there could be shortages if the measure of force taken by the carrier guilds continues.
