After allegations of alleged interference by Russian citizens in various public demonstrations in the country have emerged, developments begin to be known in relation to those alleged to be linked in these events.

This Wednesday, a joint operation by the Prosecutor's Office and the Colombian Army captured Sergei Vagin, whom the Colombian authorities accuse of financing the attacks against the public forces during the National Strike.

W Radio was able to learn firsthand about Vagin's pronouncement prior to his arrest, as he gave a press conference to various media outlets, explaining his judicial present and his alleged link to violent acts within the framework of the social mobilizations that the country has had.

A CIA dossier published by the newspaper El Tiempo states that Sergei Vagin is also known as 'Servac'. According to the authorities, this man would have mobilized significant sums of money from Russia in order to finance violent actions in the country's main cities, in addition to this he would have links with members of the so-called Frontline.

In the video known to W Radio, Vagin was questioned about the film material he obtained in the midst of the 2019 protests and the national strike, in this case the man maintained that he simply recorded his presence within the demonstrations, stating that this broadcast had no journalistic purpose and to make this activity, did not include any type of crime, in addition to this, Francisco González Cifuentes, a lawyer from abroad, assured that the Prosecutor's Office did not have any kind of investigation against his attorney, until that time.

Meanwhile, the foreigner explained that he was engaged in the analysis of sports betting, which is why he mobilized large economic figures in his accounts, in turn, argued that, with his boss in the Russian capital, Moscow, they carried out constant money transfers as a product of such random operations.

The apprehension of Sergei Vagin took place in the town of suba in the northwest of the capital of the republic, on the morning of Wednesday, March 30, because in an operation led by the Thirteenth Army Brigade, the man was captured along with 6 other people, including another citizen of Russian nationality and alleged several alleged members of the First Line.

While relations between Colombia and Russia have not been perfect, that country from the old continent seems to be upset by the assertions of some political leaders and the media, because through that country's embassy in Colombia, they criticized allegations of alleged political interference in the legislative elections, stating: “All this seems like a typical example of fake news, when they try to argue the necessary and already predetermined conclusion with crazy and incoherent things. Such fabrications and “escapes to the press” show the desire of some media to chorus the current Western news mainstream characterized by a very high degree of Russophobia and a blind fury towards everything binding on Russia.” .

Similarly, they drew attention to these insinuations, exalting that these rumors will not go beyond words, in the statement the Russian Embassy stated: “In view of the foregoing, the Embassy of the Russian Federation expresses its categorical rejection of such insinuations and slander, reiterating that Russia has not even tried, nor does it intend to interfere in the internal life of Colombia. The warnings of some visiting foreign diplomats about “almost imminent” Russian interference in the Colombian elections in March have been left in the air. And so will things go on, have no doubt.” .
