Reinaldo Rueda could receive compensation if he leaves the management of the Colombia national team

Reinaldo Rueda has been seen in the eye of fans and the sports press after Colombia finally failed to enter the repechage zone to be able to be in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Although it is understood that the process was not only led from the beginning by the vallecaucano, they grant him part of the responsibility for the ties he won in matches that were key to being able to be ahead in the final dates of the qualifiers.

The former coach of the coffee national team, the Portuguese Carlos Queiroz also put the reality of the team badly at the loss of two matches by a rout, which, for many, were the breaking point of the hecatombe that meant the failure of the repechage by Colombia.

Not only would Queiroz have left the Colombia National Team with poor results, but he would also leave a fairly divided dressing room, which was consolidated as another task for Rueda who was next in office.

Overcoming that eventuality a little, the objectives had to be positioned in the points that they could achieve, but that were ultimately not achieved, although the task that the tricolor team had to do was fulfilled in the last two matches against Bolivia and Venezuela, the team's coupling took place perhaps late.

The beneficiary of all these results was Peru, which took the step to face an Asian similar to win the quota for this year's world championship.

The bad situation left by the fact that Colombia does not attend the World Cup contest is a fact, because social networks blame the Colombian Football Federation and even demand a change of managers.

Returning to Rueda, as he confirmed in the last few hours, he would be one of the first to leave his post if they definitely take advantage of what was signed in the contract agreed by both parties, in which a clause stood out announcing that in order to continue with the contractual relationship they had to get a place in the World Cup.

It is not yet confirmed whether Reinaldo Rueda will leave the head of the Colombian national team, but for many there is even the question of whether in the event of such an eventuality the vallecaucano coach should receive any type of compensation for early contract termination.

Given this, the Director of the Vbar of Caracol Radio, Diego Rueda, confirmed that there would be no obligation under the contract to pay compensation to the leader for separation from office.

“Reinaldo Rueda is no longer the coach of the Colombia National Team. There is a clause that said that if he is eliminated from the World Cup, he should immediately leave the team and do not have to pay compensation”, commented the journalist.

The Colombian Football Federation has not yet decided on the step that the coffee team will take for the following challenges, nor whether it will prolong the vote of confidence to Rueda for the next dates to be played.

It is worth remembering that Reinaldo Rueda would already have proposals on the table to lead Atlético Nacional, however, everything depends on what they tell him from the direction of Colombian professional football in the coming days.
