The anti-corruption prosecutor Karla Zecenarro gave details of the role of Fray Vasquez Castillo, Gian Marco Castillo Gómez (nephews of President Pedro Castillo), the former secretary general of the Presidential Office Bruno Pacheco, the businessman Zamir Villaverde and others involved in the alleged irregularities in the Puente Tarata case. This during the session to prevent departure from the country against those mentioned.
The restraining order was requested by the prosecutor Karla Zecenarro, who is in charge of the case in which the tender of the work in which the offences of trading in influence and incompatible negotiation are being investigated.
It should be noted that both the president's nephews and Bruno Pacheco have a preliminary arrest warrant against them, but they have not been there since 28 March. The one who was arrested was businessman Zamir Villaverde.
Prosecutor Zecenarro said that the Puente Tarata III Consortium, which would have been favored by those involved in the Provías tender, did not meet the minimum experience in similar works, as established by the rules of the tender.
THE ROLE OF NEPHEWS
The representative of the Public Ministry stated that, according to businesswoman Karelim López (aspiring effective collaborator), Zamir Villaverde contacted businessmen interested in works of the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC), and that they were then contacted by Fray Castillo and Gian Marco Castillo (nephews of Pedro's nephews) Castillo), to provide information on these works.
He added that the nephews of the head of state had the task of transmitting the interest of businessmen to the former Minister of Transport, Juan Silva, so that the management of the works could be concretized.
The prosecutor has charged Gian Marco Castillo Gómez with aggravated collusion, influence trafficking and criminal organization.
He also mentioned that the link between Zamir Villaverde, Fray Castillo and Gian Marco Castillo, nephews of President Pedro Castillo, dates from the election campaign.
Meanwhile, the judge in charge of the hearing, Manuel Chuyo, said that this Wednesday only the Prosecutor's Office and the defenders of the accused will intervene, since the decision will be announced at a later date.
BRUNO PACHECO WILL NOT SURRENDER
On the other hand, Giuliana Quiñones, Bruno Pacheco's lawyer, said that his defendant, who has been missing for two days when he was given preliminary detention for the Puente Tarata case, is “safe and secure” and that you will be able to right, but in freedom.
The advocate for Bruno Pacheco believes that her defendant is not evading justice because she has six fiscal folders in process and that the only one that is formalized with a preparatory investigation is the one that corresponds to the case of Sunat, where it would have wanted to exert pressure to favor some companies.
“In case 308 (Puente Tarata) where preliminary detention has been requested, the gentleman did appear. There was an audience with Dr. Israel Ocaña. I find it so surprising that prosecutor Karla Zecenarro intends to issue a preliminary arrest against my sponsor when he has already appeared,” the lawyer said in an interview with RPP.
“He is going to set himself free. You can't commit abuses with a preliminary arrest,” he added.
