Peru to the repechage: between tears fans thank the national team and Ricardo Gareca for triumph against Paraguay

There are no exact words to reflect the emotion that millions of Peruvians feel when they see that their national team played a great game and won against their rival Paraguay . This victory does not keep the hopes of thinking about the Qatar 2022 World Cup alive, as our team moves to the repechage zone.

The cameras of Canal N, went out to tour the main streets of the capital and found a group of fans who were very happy with the triumph of the bicolor. One of them even tearfully thanked the national team and the technical director, Ricardo Gareca, for their hard work to achieve this important pass.

“I'm really excited. Thank you Peruvian team, thank you Ricardo Gareca. Yes, it was possible and we are going to the repechage”, the fan said tearfully.

There is no doubt that the joy for our team is very overwhelming, since this victory does not continue to keep faith alive to go heading to Qatar 2022.

It is worth mentioning that from the early hours the fans arrived outside the National Stadium to enter the colossus and be part of this sporting event. However, there were also many people who decided to listen to the match as a group and thus live with the same joy.

Something that motivated and filled the fans who were able to enter the stadium with great emotion was when the National Anthem was sung in the first instance and then at the end of the match the song “Contigo Peru” by the great Zambo Cavero.

It is worth mentioning that our Peruvian team reached the match with Paraguay after three wins, a draw and a defeat in the last five matches of the bicolor that allowed it to reach the last date of the qualifying round of the qualifying round with the options intact to qualify for the playoff zone.

Peru had three straight wins against Bolivia in Lima (3-0), Venezuela as a visitor (1-2) and Colombia in Barranquilla (1-0).
