Josse Narváez's reflection on what happened at the Oscar Awards gala

It's been a couple of days since that embarrassing moment when Oscar Award host Chris Rock was heavily slapped by actor Will Smith, on account of some comments the comedian released about Jada Smith and the alopecia that the actress is suffering from. The event generated all kinds of reactions on social networks, so much so that the memes included phrases such as “Bruno is not talked about at the Oscars... But not about Jada Smith”, among others.

In Colombia, the event also generated all kinds of reactions among some personalities of the national show business, such as the presenter of 'Guerreros', Josse Narváez, husband of Cristina Hurtado. The actor also left a deep reflection on his social networks in which he spoke about the justification of violence in the name of love.

“If what happened at the Oscars yesterday horrifies us, even more so does the justification of violence in the name of humor or love. Violence is always unjustifiable. Point. Without nuances”, were the first words Narváez shared in his 'InstaStories'.

Later, he pointed out that bullying or bullying in its different forms has been normalized throughout the world, resorting to making funny comments out of tone or context, in addition to what is already seen on social networks and educational institutions.

“... we justify a comedian being able to make fun of people left and right,” and asked a question against what happened at the awards gala, which millions of viewers worldwide witnessed: “How do we then tell our children not to repeat it at school or in life?” .

Another message sent by the presenter had to do with Chris Rock's performance in mocking the appearance of a woman suffering from an autoimmune disease and who saw in her the opportunity to mock without contemplation, with complete ignorance of the cause of Jada Smith's illness.

“This could have stayed there, but then physical violence comes into play. Will Smith as a good alpha male stands to defend the honor of his wife in the most wrong way: to the beats. To finish it off by saying that 'love is like that, it makes you do crazy things, '” said the presenter.

His message through his' InstaStories' ended with a sentence for Will Smith in which he indicated that if violence is used, all context about love was lost and regretting that it had to reach those instances to give two terrible examples for humanity.

And he concluded: “... the worst part is taken by Jada Pinkett Smith, a victim of bullying and her husband's excessive reaction, but nobody talks about it, she went to the background, ego and pride 'were protagonists'”.

The reactions soon appeared as the content was shared by the gossip portal 'Tracing Famosos' in which the publication is already approaching 2,000 likes and exceeds 160 comments from netizens, among which they highlight that the presenter is absolutely right and others that it was simply an act of defence of love that has actor Will Smith for his wife, a mistake that could be made by any human being.

“They forget that they are human and that everyone is wrong. The fact is to acknowledge the error and both have already done it”, “Everyone is prefect when it is not the one of events, better not to have an opinion no matter how much we measure ourselves we don't know how to react sometimes”, “When it's not up to you, we can talk about anything, I would like to know how Josse would react if they talked about his wife”, among others.
