The BetPlay Cup in Colombia started its third phase with some problems in the scheduling of the matches. At this stage of the tournament, the second division teams that passed the previous stages are integrated, clubs from the first division that did not participate in the international tournaments.

The draw won Deportivo Pereira as a rival to Aguilas Doradas and initially the first leg had been scheduled to be played this Wednesday, January 30 at the Alberto Grisales stadium in the city of Rionegro. However, the mishaps presented with a plane from the Latam company the day before the match prevented the 'matecaña' team from reaching the Jose María Cordova airport to travel to the stadium where the match would take place.

Through a press release, Deportivo Pereira assured that reasons beyond the institution delay his trip to Antioquia, so Dimayor chose to reschedule the first leg for Wednesday, April 6 at 8:00 in the evening, while the return will be played on April 14 at the Hernán Ramírez Villegas stadium in Pereira.

Real Santander, Fortaleza CEIF, Tigres and Deportes Quindio will join in the third phase: Santa Fe, Pereira, Jaguares, Bucaramanga, Union Magdalena, Cortulua, Patriotas, Once Caldas, Pasto, Golden Eagles, Oil Alliance and Envigado.

After the José María Córdova International Airport in Rionegro (Antioquia) affected its operations on Tuesday, March 29, following the explosion of a tire of a plane belonging to the Airbus 320 family of the Latam company, Aeronáutica Civil reported that, due to the emergency, more than 21,000 passengers at the air terminal were affected.

As reported to RCN Mundo by the director of Aerocivil Aeronautics (Aerocivil), Jair Orlando Fajardo, after the aircraft was declared in emergency and the runway at Rionegro airport had to be closed to deal with the situation, 136 flights had to be canceled.

“There was no involvement of the track. Already at this time the airport is operating and we are in normal conditions. The entire impact of the 136 flights that were canceled and of the 21,245 passengers who were affected by this incident is being addressed,” Fajardo told the Bogotá radio station.

It should be recalled that, at 2:40pm this Tuesday, the closure of the Rionegro airport was reported due to the fact that the Latam aircraft that covered the Medellin-Cartagena route, declared an emergency due to a failure of one of the tires of the front train after takeoff, so it had to return to the air terminal to carry out an emergency landing.
